McIntosh Perry acquires Calgary’s ARA Engineering

Focused on transportation infrastructure, ARA adds to the growing firm's Western Canada growth strategy.
Toronto-based McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers, a national firm with locations in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and Quebec, has acquired Calgary-based ARA Engineering, a provider of transportation infrastructure engineering consulting services to public and private sector clients throughout Alberta.
This acquisition comes less than a year after the McIntosh Perry’s merger with Calgary’s OEL Projects, a provider of engineering services to the oil and gas industry.

Founded in 1997, the ARA has regional offices in Peace River and Fort McMurray. The company offers a range of engineering services focused on transportation infrastructure; including roadway design, structural design, urban development, material testing, materials engineering, surveying, environmental services, airport design, contract administration, and project management.

Within the past year McIntosh Perry also completed its merger with CCI Group, first announced in October, 2016 and finalized last June, incorporating building science and environmental engineering experts into the firm’s diverse engineering portfolio.
The company’s growth through acquisition has now created a firm with over 600 engineers, project managers and technical experts across the nation.
